In the early 2000s, two great minds conceived a brilliant idea—an idea so powerful that it ultimately brought us all together in this promising institution. It was during this visionary period that the school was co-founded by Mr. Jovie Sepe and Teacher Bebot. From that moment on, they were deeply determined to transform their shared dream into reality. Though challenges emerged along the way, accompanied by the doubts and reservations of others, these obstacles never discouraged them from pursuing their vision and mission. Today, we stand proud: fifteen years in the making, witnessing that very idea beautifully realized.
The inaugural year was one of our most formidable challenges, with an immense amount of work to be done and June fast approaching. Yet, through the resourcefulness, brilliance, and unwavering dedication of our founders, nothing was impossible. The physical construction of the classroom buildings was personally supervised by Sir Jovie himself. Meanwhile, curriculum development and the creation of specialized materials were meticulously crafted by Teacher Bebot, alongside the invaluable assistance of the school’s first faculty member, Teacher Donna. Everything was accomplished in a flash, and when June arrived, the school stood ready to face its first major milestone.
Central to this success was a deep commitment to authentic education: Teacher Bebot brought world-class expertise as a Montessori-trained educator from the University of San Carlos Montessori Academy and Chaminade University in Hawaii, USA. Cultivating this legacy of excellence, Teacher Jessa later pursued her own rigorous training at the University of San Carlos Montessori Academy and the Montessori Circle by the Association Montessori Internationale, even participating in the prestigious International Montessori Congress in Thailand.
June 16, 2012, proudly marked our very first day of classes, beginning with just a single classroom and 22 eager students under the Pre-Elementary Level and Special Class. Through the years, the school has flourished, welcoming a significant annual increase in enrollment and opening new levels with each passing school year. From those humble, heartfelt beginnings, our institution has expanded immensely—proudly with 8 dynamic classrooms today to accommodate our growing family of 130 vibrant students.
In a span of fifteen fruitful years, the school has successfully expanded its levels to meet local demands and promote continuous learning for passionate young minds. Mirroring this growth, the institution was granted with four Government Recognitions across the Toddler (2023), Pre-Elementary (2013), Elementary (2017), and Junior High School Levels (2018). These recognitions signify that the Department of Education views our institution as thoroughly competent, deeply dedicated to its core values, and fully capable of exceeding educational standards. This remains a monumental success, paving the way for future opportunities, recognitions, and higher accreditations.
Our resilience was truly tested during the global pandemic, yet we successfully maintained our promise to provide individualized education despite severe health and logistical constraints. Demonstrating our leadership, we were among the very first schools in Bohol granted the government permit to conduct face-to-face classes, coupled with a PEAC grant for the Junior High School level after being rated as a Level 2 standard institution. While post-pandemic enrollment challenges led to the difficult decision to pause the Junior High School level offering, we remain profoundly blessed and adaptive, celebrating the successful introduction of our thriving Toddler Level in 2025.
Beyond our growth as an institution, our students themselves continue to shine as outstanding individuals. They have garnered numerous awards in both academic and non-academic competitions, beautifully emulating the core values they learn within these walls. Whether stepping onto a stage or entering a competition, our school and its exceptional Montessorians leave a lasting, positive impression on every organization they encounter—perfectly depicting the character of a true Montessorian.
As we look back, fifteen fruitful and blessed years have passed, a milestone made entirely possible by the unwavering trust, partnership, and faith of our beloved community. We extend our deepest gratitude to the families who have walked this path with us. As we look ahead, we know more challenges and opportunities will come along the way, but our institution stands firmer than ever in its promise to uphold the values of a true Montessorian: Building Character, Molding Leaders, and Training for Excellence.
